How do people actually shop for cars? I wanted to find out.
This is an automotive shopping platform based on the way people actually look for new vehicles.
MY ROLE
UI/UX designer, Researcher
THE OPPORTUNITY
For many automotive dealerships, their digital presence is an afterthought. The way customers shop online, and what they're looking for isn't considered. Dealer websites are cluttered with irrelevant and confusing messaging that frustrates more than facilitates.

THE SOLUTION
A mobile-first, shopping application. One that can be modified for any brand, and built with customer experience as the focus. The application gives shoppers exactly what they're looking for, because it's based on their habits. Take it for a test-drive.

1 – CONCEPT
FROM THOUGHT TO FRUITION
In-depth user research reveals how car shoppers think. Key results were extrapolated from the research to provide direction. Users want to see particular information immediately, they want to sort through models right away, and they do not want to see ads, but they want to know what a payment may look like.
MATERIALIZING
Next, I brainstormed the user flow using information gleamed from studies, and surveys. I then simplified it as a series of interactions that I could represent visually. Finally, I built a wireframe based upon those steps.
2 – COMPLETION
THE FINAL RESULT
I designed a high-fidelity mockup according to the user flow. The components can be re-used and styled for any brand. The solution is a simplified, and refined car shopping process.
